Long time no post. I know. Let’s get right to it! How are
you? Seriously, how are you?
What season are you in
at this moment? For me, I’m feeling pretty, okay. No major issues, all glory to
God. Just staying occupied with home and work life. Typical right…Yeah. I’ll
take typical in this season. We all know life has thrown and will continue to
throw a curve ball, or two. Unexpected losses, sicknesses, financial issues,
just to name a few, happens to us all. If not, just keep living as the old
folks say. It’s amazing how we can all suffer differently but, yet we are
not alone. Someone has gone through what you’re going through or will go
through it (unfortunately). I pray that you find the support and resources you
need for those of you that may not be in a “typical” season right now.
I must say things has
not always been typical on my end. My son, Luke, had to get surgery back in April, due to an
anal fistula that kept developing into an abscess which was worrisome. Glory to
God, he did well with anesthesia and healed to the point that you can’t tell
that he even had the procedure performed. As a nurse, I couldn’t help but think
worst case scenario, off the wham, but I had to silence those negative
thoughts…. Now may God’s grace get me through teething, wet bibs, occasional
sleepless nights, and runny noses.
Other than that, me and
my family are doing well by the grace of God. I am learning to be more
self-empowered in taking care of self and knowing which battles to fight and
which ones to abort.
I don’t even want to
mention its name, but COVID is STILL here! Why Jesus?!?! Okay. Okay. I am
thankful for the vaccination. I pray against any long-term effects and for full
immunity sooner than later. Whether you don’t believe in the vaccine or
received it, I pray that you are still taking the necessary precautions to
protect yourselves and others. Despite personal opinions, one thing is true,
COVID has claimed too many lives already so let’s do what we can with the
knowledge and wisdom God graces us with. Pray about all things and seek God if you’re
still debating on whether or not to take the vaccine. Inform yourself with
fact-based research and peer reviewed material vs social media/news
channels.
Well, I cannot leave you
without a verse or two to meditate on…so here you go:
“He says, “Be
still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be
exalted in the earth.” The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.” – Psalm 46:10-11 NIV
“When you pass
through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be
burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”- Isaiah 43:2
Be Blessed,
