Moses shared this scripture with Joshua as the Israelites finally prepared to cross into the land that God had promised them. Previously, the Israelites had been afraid and wandered in the wilderness for 40 years, during which a generation was told they would not see the promised land. God’s faithfulness is evident as He keeps His Word, even if it doesn’t align with our expectations. God never fails us, even when His methods don’t match our desires. We often forget our own disobedience when God seeks to do something great in our lives, allowing our fears and doubts to hinder us from experiencing His plan. God’s promise to go before and be with us is a source of great comfort and encouragement. We can face the future confidently, knowing God is always with us and will never abandon us.

Prayer
Father, thank You for going before and being with us, even when we doubt You or the process. Help us to trust in Your presence and not to be afraid or discouraged. May we be filled with Your love and guidance, seeking You in all things. In Jesus’ name, we humbly pray, Amen.
