“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”

Devotion
Fear is a natural part of life, but this verse encourages us to turn our fears over to God. Trusting in Him brings peace and reassurance, knowing He is in control and will guide us through any situation. Life is a journey through mountains and valleys; each experience helps us appreciate the other. God instructs us not to worry about what we will eat, drink, or wear (Matthew 6:31). He tells us not to be concerned about tomorrow (Matthew 6:34). He even assures us that we need not worry about what we will say, for He will guide us with the words we need when the time comes (Matthew 10:19).
If God tells us not to worry about these essential things, can we also begin to surrender our fears regarding everything else to Him?
Prayer
Lord, when fear overwhelms us, help us to place our trust in You. Remind us that You are our refuge and strength and that we can rely on Your unfailing love and protection. May we continue to read Your Word and understand that You guide us in all aspects of our lives, so much so that we do not need to fear the challenges we face. Thank You for keeping us safe and welcoming us to trust You. In Jesus’ name, we humbly pray. Amen.
