Good Advice: Receive It

“Where there is strife, there is pride, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.”

Wisdom often comes through the counsel of others. Not all feedback will be positive, and that’s okay. Whether it’s educational, rules, constructive criticism, or a warning, these things are meant to help guide you and, often, protect you. A wise person seeks and heeds advice, but pride can lead to conflict. Let us be open to the guidance of others and humble enough to learn from their experiences and follow the commandments created by God to help us live within margin safely.

Will you open your heart to receive constructive criticism from those who genuinely mean well and want to see you prosper spiritually and in all other areas of your life?

Prayer

Father, give us the humility to seek and accept advice from others. Help us to recognize the wisdom in their counsel and apply it in our lives. May Your wisdom bring peace and understanding to our relationships and all we do. In Jesus’ name, we humbly pray, Amen.
