“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.”

Devotional
Paul’s words remind us that we are not defeated despite our challenges. God’s power sustains us, and through our struggles, the life of Jesus is revealed in us. We can endure with hope and resilience. Even though we share in Jesus’ sufferings, this allows the life and power of Jesus to be evident in us. We may be disappointed but not discouraged or defeated. Disappointment is a feeling, and feelings are fleeting. Feelings are great indicators but terrible dictators, just like all emotions.
Even when we feel like giving in or giving up, can we quickly remember that we have already won the battle with Jesus?
Prayer
Lord, thank You for sustaining us through every challenge. Help us to endure with hope and strength, knowing that Your power is at work in us. Let the life of Jesus be revealed in our lives. Let it transcend to others in close proximity to us, causing them to want to know who Jesus is. Amen.
