“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise—in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”
-Psalm 56:3-4
Have you been fearful of something recently? Where are you placing your trust?
In today’s scripture, David reveals a few things. He says that when he’s afraid, he trusts God. He even praises God’s Word during this scary time. In times of fear, we are called to trust in God. His word and promises are our source of strength and courage. When we place our trust in Him, we can face any situation without fear.
Can we turn our fearful times into moments of praise and worship in God?
Prayer
Heavenly Father, when we are afraid, help us trust in You. Strengthen our faith and remind us of Your promises. Just like David, let Your word be our comfort and guide. No matter the situation, when we are afraid, we can praise You because of who You are. In Jesus’ name, we humbly pray. Amen.
