Yes, we have the freedom to make our own choices, and unfortunately, some people choose to do evil instead of good. This is evidenced by all the terrible things that happen in the world. However, we can still choose to do the right thing, even in difficult circumstances. We must remember that bad things can happen to good people, but God is still good and there to save us. We cannot fully understand the greatness of God, so let us not limit God to our own limited perceptions and experiences. We have the responsibility to choose righteousness, and we should choose wisely.

Scripture
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Matthew 7:13-14

Prayer
Dear God, I ask for the strength to choose what is right today. Even when I don’t feel like it, or it seems undeserved, help me act with righteousness toward myself and others. Please grant me your wisdom and understanding to make positive decisions throughout the day. May your love guide me as I interact with those around me and help me to do what is right for them and for the tasks at hand. I pray for this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
