The weather is changing, and your mood may do the same.

Do you feel in a funk every year around the same time?

Keywords: depression, mood changes, seasonal depression.
Just like the weather, you may experience changes in your mood. Your mood is low, you have no energy, you can’t sleep, and/or you have no interest in activities. You may be experiencing seasonal depression.  If so, speak to a healthcare professional and explore treatment options.  Even Saints experience depression, and it’s okay to have a lot of Jesus and a little Lexapro. Smile. The goal is to be self-aware and seek help to continue moving life forward and being your best self.

You may experience depression because of your past experiences during a specific time of year.

Experience your emotions, but don’t stay there. Do not spiral into the “why me” or “why my” statements. May you approach your experiences with gratitude.  Being grateful that God allowed you to experience the time you did have before the losses you have experienced. You are to steward everything in your space: spouse, child(ren), money, home, job, relationships, and even self. Simply manage these things well with the resources God has given us. God is your Source, and He is in control of all things. Will you believe this?

There is a bottom line.

You will experience hardships in this lifetime because it’s life. Just know that God’s love still endures forever! What happens here on earth does not minimize who God is. He told Moses that he is “I AM THAT I AM” in Exodus 3:14. Nobody on this earth is invincible to say that. So, trust God even when it hurts and focus on stewarding what you do have while not crying over what you lost in a way that is unproductive in your life.

May we continue to move life forward together.

You are blessed!

*Scriptures for encouragement:

So do not fear, for I am with you;

do not be dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you and help you;

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Isaiah 41:10

Why, my soul are you downcast?

Why so disturbed within me?

Put your hope in God,

for I will yet praise him,

my Saviour and my God.

Psalms 42:5

I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Philippians 4:13

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him,

so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:13
