Yesterday has come and
gone. All we have is today. The only time that is guaranteed is literally right
now. The right now is our future. Meaning, what we do today affects our
tomorrow. If by God’s Will, tomorrow comes, then tomorrow becomes our today. I say
this from a positive perspective because it’s easy to think negatively.

If your yesterdays
haven’t been the best, then guess what? Today will become a yesterday, so let
us make today count! How? Waking up with intentionality, gratitude, and adding
positive self-affirmations to live the today on purpose. Making choices that
will prove beneficial today.

For example,

  • If we’re in a bad relationship, leave.
  • If we have bad spending habits, go on a financial
    fast.
    • Buy only necessities like food and pay bills (eliminating
subscriptions too!) for an allotted amount of time. When it comes to the
financial fasting, I usually fast for 21 days.
  • If we’re having medical issues, go to the doctor.
  • If our grammar isn’t the best, read a book on
    grammar.

The point is that it’s never too late to work on
ourselves to make our today(s) better.

Only we know what we
need to modify, discontinue, or develop to make our today(s) better. Let us be
okay with being who we are and whatever is needed to decrease stress in our
lives and make every today count. All we have is our today and let us not take
it for granted. Live like there is no tomorrow while simultaneously making our
future today(s) even more awesome.

I personally look
forward to waking up and starting my day. I can honestly say I love my job and
everyone that I work with on purpose. I may not like everything about the job,
but I am only responsible for my thoughts and actions, and this alone brings me
peace.

What does your today
look like at this moment? What will today look like for you a year from now?
What are some things that you may need to do differently today so that your
future today(s) is better?

“When you make choices with you in mind, you have no regrets.” – Cathy Brian
