“Dear friend, I pray that
you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul
is getting along well.” – 3 John 1:2

What steps do you take to take care of your whole self? Holistically.

Doing things to take care of your Mind (mental/emotional state), Body (physically), and Soul (spiritually).

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as the following…

“…a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.“

Yes, this is a very vague statement.

But let us take a moment to dissect it.

“For physical training is
of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both
the present life and the life to come.”- 1 Timothy 4:8

Do we
still have diseases and infirmities? Yes, because in this world we will have
trouble, but take heart for Jesus have overcome the world. We can make a conscious
decision to be our best selves. Even when one part of us is not at its best. We
can still take steps to nurture ourselves back to health in that area and to perform
a constant check and balances.

There are many issues
in life. One thing for sure, right now, COVID19.

We all know the precautions
for COVID19: masks (covering your mouth and nose), handwashing(for
20 seconds), sanitizer (rubbing until hands are completely dry), and social
distancing
(staying 6 ft. apart) periodt.

We know all the signs
and symptoms for COVID: flu like symptoms, difficulty breathing,  fever, headaches, rash, diarrhea, chest pain, loss
of taste and smell
.

But
one thing that is not stressed when it comes to COVID19 is the use of vitamins
to boost the immune system to help protect, fight for, and heal our bodies. Supplemental
vitamins like Zinc Oxide and Vitamin C, or eating foods high in Zinc Oxide (meats,
low fat yogurt, lentils, oatmeal) and Vitamin C (oranges, kiwi, brussel
sprouts, grapefruit, peas) all help support your immune system. *ONLY take
vitamins, exercise, and/or change your diet under the supervision of your doctor
or health care provider.

In conclusion,
we can all take steps to be proactive in our health, especially in the presence
of a pandemic. Let us be our best selves. Finding ways to stay positive, fit,
and present amidst the season we are in.

Be
Blessed,
